About the Maker: They were both born into families with generations of food heritage. Raised in New York, Alex grew up enjoying unique, flavorful pistachios from his family’s 300-year-old pistachio farms overseas. Disappointed with the bland pistachios available in the US market, he dreamed of one day sharing his family's exceptional pistachios with the world. Cody grew up working summer months at his family’s 3rd generation food distribution business, Allen Brothers Wholesale Distribution, founded by his great grandfather in 1910. Cody worked at the Philadelphia-based operation throughout his teens and always aspired to launch his own food brand. Their shared commitment to quality and tradition led to the creation of Joon!
