Aquarius Season 2020
The new year is well underway with a renewed vision for 2020 and beyond. Earthy Capricorn transformed into Aquarius Season on January 20th and will continue to expand our minds and ideas of reality until Feb 18th.
While Aquarius is represented by the water-bearer, Aquarius is NOT a water sign. Aquarius is actually a fixed AIR sign and is represented not by the water stored in the water-bearer’s vessel, but by the person holding the vessel themselves and their service to humanity. The water-bearer is a channel for life-giving cosmic energy, waves of aether, and lightning bolts of electricity. They provide the entire collective with direct connection to Source energy, which is symbolized by life-giving waters of creation.
Aquarius is concerned with the collective needs of society and spreads information, ideas, systems, and energy in order to continue pushing for innovation and expansion that benefits humanity’s evolution. The air element wants to move and transmute constantly, while also being highly communicative and intellectual. As the fixed air sign, then, Aquarius is almost paradoxically stubborn about the need for constant change and progress.
Ruled by structure-giving Saturn, Aquarius is simultaneously dissolving the outdated structures that no longer serve us while repurposing those resources, materials, and insights to build a NEW and improved structure in its place. The water-bearer has a Vision for the future that must be shared, philosophically discussed, and put into practice.
Aquarius season asks us to look at the areas in our lives – both personally and collectively – contained by structures and systems that no longer serve our evolution.
How can we break out of the boxes we’ve put ourselves in and discover new solutions to challenges and constraints? How can we build a new world that is of service to the needs of the greater whole? In what areas of our lives can we innovate, develop new perspectives, and stretch our preconceived notions of what is possible to new, unconstrained heights?
Join Brenna Paxton of Astra Aura and Jessica Moler of Hand & Land on Thursday, February 13th for a special Cosmic Club devoted to Love & Magic. We’ll muse about the many forms of Divine Love, as well as discuss the astrological themes of Aquarius and the winter season. It’ll be the last Cosmic Club hosted at H&L’s Leawood shop, so you won’t want to miss it!
