About the Product: Feel like you’re walking on a cloud with the brand new Kyrgies Wovens. Crafted from thick yarn that’s spun to make the softest and coziest Kyrgies yet, they’ll fit your feet like a glove. Fancy comfy feet on your next weekend away? Thanks to their flexible vegetable tanned leather sole, they’re the perfect traveling companion as they can be folded up and packed with ease. Like all their Kyrgies, these oh-so-soft house shoes form part of a centuries-old history of craftsmanship. In this case, these slippers stem from techniques traditionally used for weaving heavy woolen rugs and are handmade by a women’s cooperative located in the remote Alay Valley of southern Kyrgyzstan. Sustainable, soft and snug on your feet, our Kyrgies Wovens are a slice of traditional Kyrgyz life, brought from the dusty plains of Central Asia directly to your door. Softer than their other slippers thanks to the flexibility of their woven woolen fabric, they’re the perfect choice if you have delicate feet that suffer from bunions or other ailments, or have wider feet and want a more accommodating fit. Naturally moisture-wicking and odor-resistant, and with a slightly higher back than their Classic Kyrgies, these house shoes are an extremely cozy addition to your home wardrobe — and perfect for embarking on the Great Indoors.

About the Maker: Handmade in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, a mountainous region of peaks and fertile valleys, Kyrgies embody the ancient, essential connection between the sheep that roam the hillsides and the Kyrgyz people that raise them for their wool. Designed to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer, our wool house slippers reflect a blend of durability and a refined style honed by Kyrgyzstan’s wool artisans over generations. Throughout our artisanal process, we are guided by an old-world approach to production that has been scaled to meet the modern world.
